They are supposed to have just put in a new system and they now can issue cards much faster than before. Stay tuned.

I know about the new system

I know about the new system, I was at Miami office on May 5 for stamping, and they didn't take the two photos that I brought. Instead they used the same computer system to take my fingerprint, photo and type in my info. I asume that would increase the plastic issuance drastically as they don't have to scan the photos and combine info from different systems.
I just wonder if tehre is anyone who got plastics since they implemented the system.

Congratulations!

What ID did you bring to CIS interview in Las Vegas? Has your passport expired?
If it did, did CIS accept your expired passport? Did you bring Refugee Travel Document to the inverview as well? What kind of questions did CIS officer ask you during the interview?

Appriciate your reply.

When I Went On Interview (12/09/2004),they Asked Me For Reg Id Like Dr License Or State Id ,my Passport Was Expaierd Since 1991 And I Couldent Renew It Since Then And Thats Good,it Will Help You Case At Date Of Interview, Anyway They Never Ask For Your Passport Only If They Want To Stamp It And Has To Be Valid Too Or If You Had Td ,if Not They Will Give You Stamped I-94 With You Photo And Fingerprint On It . At The Date Of Interview They Ask You Samething In Your Form I-485 Application And If You Still Feel Scared To Go Back Home ,after That They Fill Form I-89 For Your Green Card Prodction To Send Back To Nbraska To Issue The Card With New Photos .

Sidman, why do you type all the first letters of each words in capital? It is not right English. It is also irritating when reading your posts.

I would assume he used Word to write his message and changed the Font format to "Title" making the first letter of each word uppercase. I agree it is distracting to read his/her message

Hey Sidman –
I am wondering if you filled your 1-485 though an attorney. My case is very old too. was filled in late 1996, got a court date for 03/1997 but was postponed . Another on 08/1998 and was postponed too.. Finally had a hearing on 02/ 2003 and was approved after waiting for 7yrs. In the approval letter, the judge wrote as if the case was approved on 03/15/1997 but was signed and dated 3/29/ 2003. I filed my I-485 with all the necessary paperwork on 02/2004 and on June 20th received FP notice for 0710/04. Now, since the cap has been removed, I intend to write a rebuttal. Does anyone have a case as old as mine? 9 years and no green card yet! It is a painful wait. very painful

Congradulations, sidman.

Fuck INS. I entered US in 1991 as an F1 student, and applied for asylum with full evidences in 04/1993. I was approved in 2000 - 7 full fucking years of pending.

As of today, I have been living in US for 14 years, and paying lots of tax, and still waiting for my fucking green card. Fuckfuckfuck. How could I love this damned country. But where can I go in this cursed world? Life is miserable and I just want to die :(:(:(

Friendly reminder. Please watch out using those words "fu...". Although this is forum may not formal discussion place, I believe it is most people's expectation that we act gently and formally.

Sorry, Sir.

Because we asylees are treated as 5th class of human beings in this country, I think we have the rights to be vulgar :)
