The date on my status gets updated a lot but no approval yet:

02/25/2005 - My wife's RFE received by USCIS
03/01/2005 - My RFE received by USCIS
04/02/2005 - Both my and my wife's 'Last updated' date changed - No status change
04/04/2005 - Only my 'Last updated' date changed - No status change
04/18/2005 - Both my and my wife's 'Last updated' date changed - No status change.

I've eaten all nails on my fingers and now I'm pulling my hair out, they are driving me crazy.

Patience will pay, do not lose it. They are bound by their settlement agreement and will not screw around again.

As you know, right now it is March 23. But the update date is in April. It is indeed weired. I don't understand why. Maybe the officer has some mental problem.

It has to be an error (04->03). Maybe in the database soft. they don't enter the whole date but have separate pull down selection for each month date year so once they enter the wrong month it stays there even if the date changes.....makes sense?????

Another Guess

Another guess could be that these are the dates they intend to make a final decision on these cases. May be you'll receive magic emails on these dates. Keep us posted...

My bad

I'm sorry guys, I was so tired last night when I posted this (you can see the time of the post) that I made errors.

The right dates are:

02/25/2005 - My wife's RFE received by USCIS
03/01/2005 - My RFE received by USCIS
03/02/2005 - Both my and my wife's 'Last updated' date changed - No status change
03/04/2005 - Only my 'Last updated' date changed - No status change
03/18/2005 - Both my and my wife's 'Last updated' date changed - No status change.

I'm definitely loosing it.

You know what Alex_e38.... As hard as this may sound - stay away from the case status website for a few days (maybe even a week or so).

I was at your point - pulling my hair out - when I decide to just stop checking (after sending my RFE). And you know what? Low and behold! I got the approval e-mail a week or so later.

I know you are anxious, but there's no need to get sick over it. It will happen when it happens. At least you know you're at the last point.

Good luck.
