Weird RFE

I am new to this immigration portal.
RFE for I-485. In my first medical which was taken in Jan 2006,my doctor didnot mention anything about TB skin test , just mentioned my chest x-ray as -ve. Now i got the RFE why the Skin was not done and to mention the reason and complete it.
My question is

1) Do i need to do all the medical or just answer the query
I checked with Doctors and got different opinions.

2)First time my skin test was +ve so doctor took Chest X-ray which was -ve.
(I guess my skin test was + ve cos of BCG which i took in childhood).
But still i took medication for TB for precaution and am done with it .
Now how can i answer this query.
I will once again take Skin test which will result +ve, and will be sent for Chest x-ray.
Can i mention that Skin test +ve is for childhood BCG and if medication is mentioned will it create any further problem.

Any idea on my case.

Your doc should state that he did not repeat skin test due to history of +ve results, instead he did a CXR and that was negative. So you are good to go. Repeat PPD testing in someone who has known +ve reaction could create a nasty wound and your doc would not want that.

Thanks for your reply. I cannot go to same doctor as i have moved from that state. I will go new doctor. Are you sure that if i take skin test it will result in wound. You are the first person telling , doctors whom all i consulted asked me to take skin test first and then go for CXR.

And also can doctor just send the new I-693 form only with TB results and leave the other columns blank or do i need to repeat all .

your input will be appreciated

Well it is your choice to take a repeat or no. I have had a lot of false +ves. By the way the BCG that you got as a kid has wore off by now (I assume you are over 18!). So if it is really over 15mm +ve you might need treatment, which USCIS doesn't seem to care much about. In other words get a repeat test is you don't mind a "potential" ugly reaction and then if it is +ve do the CXR.

By the way don't take this recommendation very serious-consult with your doctor!!

Hi

Hi there,

Whatever the document you get, just forward it on..it can be sealed or not sealed does not matter because they usually have ur name on the top right on the xray....most of the xrays are like that...

But to be safer side...ask your doctor to get it sealed incase everything comes out ok for you...
