weird pending,case update notice!!

Hello people,,,

i had an interview today for a B visa ,after asking me the normal questions the interviewer told me that she will issue me a 5 years multi-entry visa BUT they have to wait for approval from Washington D.C . she also gave me my passport with a papper attached to it with my case number and a website to check the statues.

the questions are ,why did that happen in the first place?? and why me?? would that take a long time??do i have to show up again for an another interview?

please help me ,cause it's my first time to see a case like this..
 
The consulate wants Washington D.C to complete its security check on you before it will issue your visa. Why you? Your citizenship, age, name, qualifications, etc collectively or individually triggered the need for a name check. Just wait it out. The good thing is, you qualified for your visa.
