We are getting milked by USCIS

After three years of waiting for my GC (and still are) I have now realized that the USCIS always had, currently have and always will have an incentive to keep us in the system for as long as possible unless something is done. For those of you who dont understand, consider this. The longer we are in process the more fees we have to pay for renewals of EADs, travel doc's, etc. On top of that they can get away with whatever fees it is they want to charge for these documents. This needs to be highlighted in the media or some other process to expose the blatant extortion that is being perpretated by this corrupt organization that calls itself the USCIS.

Just my 2 cents.....feel free to vent as well by sharing your thoughts.

lol. I hear your frustration, but I don't agree that they are doing this to "extort" - at least, not directly. It's for the security of the nation. I do admit - it could be a little (or maybe a lot?) faster... but - think about all government organizational depts in the US... they ARE ALL SLOW. That's why we need less govt control and less beauracracy (red tape).

........... patience is a virtue.......
 
Robot, I am past putting it down to the normal government bureaucracy. If that was the case then at least application fees would have stayed the same. Instead we have for example the EAD that went from 180 to 340...an almost 90% increase. I see you got yours quick. May I ask what race you are? I think they discriminate too.
 
My I-485 has been pending for over 1500 days. I think USCIS doesn't care about its customers at all. Not many other organizations are treating customers like this.

As I said in another thread, I noticed the people who went through NC quickly NEVER believe in there is really an NC delay. They rather think it must be that person having some problem. It is too unfortuantely wrong.
 
this world is full of stupid and ignorant ppl and not to mention selfish as well ... so let them believe what they believe in .... My prayers and heart goes out for all those who have been stuck in NC for years. Our prayers have been finally heard!!!!
 
USCIS does not milk much for current filers.

I filed I-485 recently and the fees was 1010 per person. This includes unlimited EAD and AP renewals.

What I do not understand is this stupidity of renewing the EAD/AP every year. This should be good for 3 years like H1B. This is crazy. Need to keep track and keep on filing each year.

Yes, this GC process is a mess. Hope all our GC come soon.
