Was your spouse's case approved the same time as yours?

Hi, everyone

My I-485 case was approved in last October and I have got my card. But my spouse's case, which was submitted together with mine, hasn't been approved yet. It has been more than 3 months and we have no clue what's going on.

If your spouse's case wasn't approved the same time as yours, could you please reply with how long did it take to get his/her case approved after your approval?

Does anyone know what can we do about that?

am in the same boat...altho approved more recently than urs...so looks like we may have to wait a little longer:(

Yes, it happened to me too.

I got approved in Sep. and my spouse and kids got their approval in Nov. 2004. There is no specific time line for it, so hold on they will get theirs soon.

Now applicants like you (Filed together but cases got separated) have an option to directly talk to IO at Texas Service center.

I do not exactly remember but there are 6 such situations where you get directly connected to your relevant service center even though you call the National Service center number.

Dial the number and go thru the correct options. This might take a while though but certainly worth a try.

Could you please give us some hint on which option will lead us to talk to the IO at Texas Service Center? I tried to call and choose different options, but couldn't get there.

Contacted Service center regarding the same issue

The Next week, my spouse case status was changed to:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On January 19, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

and also we recived one letter from service center, saying that they forworded inquiry into their supervisor. :)

So let's wait and see another 30 more days...............

My case was approved on 08/2004 and waiting for spouse case approval.....
 
Same here

Mine was approved 12/03/05. Spouse's case still pending.
ND 01/08/2003.
FP's around end of september for both.
Last week, I called up the TSC and the officer said that she will inform the officer that the cases are separated.

Here is how you can get to the service center.
800-375-5283
Main menu : option-1 english
2nd level menu : option-2 pending application
3rd level menu : option-6 check status
4th level menu : option-1 know my receipt number
5th level : enter receipt number
6th level menu : option-1 confirm that your case number starts with SRC
7th level menu : option-3 further action on your case
8th level menu : option-4 you believe that your case has been separated from your family application package
 
You call the 800 number and after selecting the options, you will be transferred to TSC.
 
My spouse case has been approved back in September'04, not my case. However,
I met with the offiicer at TSC this morning and my case is still pending due to name check that has not been approved by FBI since 5/7/2003 and the IO told me specifically not to contact FBI either directly or indirectly since it will delay the processing of my name check even further. This is doesn't make sense to me. It will be 2 yrs in may and I have gone through 2nd ead/AP and FP.

I tried the FOIPA and it shows no record found.

so any clue, what we should do?
