Was my PD current when I filed 485?

notice date both on my I-140/I-485 is 01/05/2005. receipt date is somwhere in last week of Dec'04. My PD is March'2004. Was my PD current at that time?

I-140 was approved in Feb'05. Somewhere in Murthy chat I read that one can extend EAD and AP only if his/her priority date was current when I-140/I-485 were filed. I have been using EAD since last 6 months and plan to file extension after 2 or so months. I am bit confused on filing extension for EAD,AP after reading murthy's archive chat. please advise.

The notice date doesn't matter - the receipt date is important. If it was late December 2004 then you should be good.

If the PD was not current when the I-485 was filed, then the I-485 would be rejected right off the bat - and that's a bigger deal than not renewing the EAD/AP. Since your I-485 hasn't been rejected, you're fine.
 
thanks guys. I am relieved after you guys' replies. I am also done with fingerprinting for I-485 in april'05 but since visa number is unavailable I don't know how long would be my wait to get GC.

Good. I think you have to wait atleast another 11/2 to 2 years becuase your PD is March'2004.

Otherwise, lets hope for some miracles .
