want to work on 1099 not primary applicant

I want to work on 1099 as Independent contractor. my 485 is pending with CSC center. I am not primary applicant. My husband is primary applicant. Please advice.

I dont think you should have a problem doing that. My spouse did do that. I dont think it matters whether you work 1099 or W2, full time , part time, or hourly as you have an EAD that permits you to work for any employer. This is my assumption. Lets hope someone on this forum confirms this.
 
1099, W2, Contract, permanent position............. These are all just Jobs as far as a secondary applicant is concerned. The secondary applicant does not carry the burden of proving his/her "intent to work” for the sponsoring employer after getting the GC. An EAD allows you to work on ‘any’ Job, unlike the primary applicant. It does not specify the type or the nature of the Job.
 
Applies to even primary applicant.

As GC is for a future job, even primary applicant can work on 1099, if they are able to maintain status.
