Want to find out salary of others

Well done!!!
I found out that I'm actually well paid. However, I found out that there is an engineering manager earning $230K. Gosh!!!

just check how much Infosys and Wipro pay to their employees whom they bring here to replace workers...

35K, 45K , 55K

they also bring people on B1 to work here for 6 months. these people are paid 1500/ month plus shared accomodation (4 people in one 2-bed apartment).

blood suckers.

Do you folks think this is real and accruate data? I see that for my company there are just 2 #s for the salary of a particular title. I doubt if everyone is paid 1 of the 2 salaries...

Why is this thread marked SPAM? While waiting for the GreenCard, this is THE most useful thread i've found on the forum till date. And i've been here for a while.....

I understand your question regarding the title prefixed with SPAM, but you never know with all the acrimonious debates and name calling that happens even for some frivolous things.

Hence until there is an agreement across a broad section of individuals you are better to mark it SPAM

Guys, what you see is not true

Hi Guys,
Whatever you guys saw on the flcdatacenter.com is not the actual salary of the employees. This is the salary offered by the employer and the employer is not needed to pay that much salary quoted in the labour application. In my case, the salary offered in my labour is 92k, but my employer is only paying me 60k. So don't take the data in the flcdatacenter as an accurate amount being paid to the employees. The salary offered must be greater than or equals to the prevailing wage of the position offered for the specific location, thats why you guys are seeing a bigger amount....
I hope this helps.

Thanks

The data is correct. Most reputed and big companies write what they actually pay to the beneficiary. Some companies (mostly blood sucking consulting companies) write a low salary (but still above prevailing wages) so that they are legaly liable to pay that much only. They may in fact pay more than what they have offered.

Just because you have been screwed up by your company doesn't make the data factually incorrect (people jump to conclusion very quickly). In your case, your employer (in my layman openion) is not doing the right thing. The employer cannot pay what he has offered (and promised to pay in LCA). If you try, labor department will be able to recover past wages from your employer. In the meantime, USCIS will consider you "out of status" because you are not being paid what your employer promised to pay in LCA (a violation of H1B rules).

good luck.

Actually goodsaint is right, most big companies pay the employee the amount mentioned on the LC. Otherwise the repurcussions can be pretty bad. And as he mentioned, it could cause problems in the event of a RFE.

flcdatacenter == goldmine

yes i also think the data is accurate. but some of the software engineers in CA are making 5 million $ , thats amazing...makes me depressed, wont reach that level anytime in this life... hahahahah :D
and anyway most of those companies layoff people quite frequently too..

True.

My current employer wrote my exact salary in the whole dollar amount on the LC...but that does not really mean that a company pays what it writes of on lc.... my previous employers always quoted an amount different from what they were paying me, I believe that was usually higher than what they were paying me
