Walkin FP @ San Jose, Please advise

Hi,
I received an RFE email today, which, going by general experience on this forum, may likely be for the FP notice. I am evaluating if I should go for a walk-in FP (DO: San Jose), and seeking advise from this forum:

1. Does SJC service center entertain walk-in FP's ?
2. Any recommendations for time-of-day and day-of-week favorable to walk-in's ?
3. Would they allow my 14months old to accompany me (specifically in SJC) ?
4. Any good-to-have documents I should carry for the FP (other than what would be mentioned in the FP notice) ?

I can see why one would think this is a duplicate post.
My intention for this post was to get any experience sharing from applicants who did a walk-in @ SJC.

BTW, thanks for your previous reply.
