Walk-in Fingerprinting @ Brooklyn, NY ASC

Anyone tried walk-in fingerprinting done at Brooklyn, NY ASC earlier than the actual appointment date? I'm travelling next week, So I was going to try the walk-in sometime this week itself. I head that Wednesdays are usually recommended, but is that true in case of New York City also?

Any experiences/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Early Walk-in Attempt Successful

I took an Infopass appointment to a Field Office and I was told that I could walk-in on wednesdays to the ASC with a valid reason. I went around 11:30 AM today to try our luck and without any problem they accepted both myself and my wife's appointment letters from next week. Actual process to capture Biometrics (Code 3 - 10 Fingerprints, Photo & Signature) was only 10 minutes, but as there were 70 people ahead of us, the wait time is nearly 3 hours. Looks like in Brooklyn ASC, its first come first serve. I'm glad that I tried the walk-in appointment.
