Waiver Question

Can someone please answer this question for me?

If USCIS won't approve your case until you file a waiver, such as a 601 waiver; how long do they give you to file it? Or is the case at an unlimited standstill until that waiver is received.

601 waiver

i am in the same situation, i filed 3 months ago for both 485 and 601 at the same time, and i receive my work card but i am still waiting for an answer about anything. It seems nobody know about it in here i posted some thread to see if other people were in the same case but nothing, if you hear about any story let me know please.
