hello everyone,
I had my interview on aug 20th..The interview officer said she will recommend for an approval and will send a written decision of my case in couple of weeks time..Its been a month now and i havent received anything on mail...From this thread i understand there is a delay in processing N-400 these days...Is it so? Is anyone else waiting for the oath letter who had the interview in august? I thought they send the oath letter in 2 weeks time???

Processing dates and oath interval depends on the local USCIS office. Unless you post where you live and where you had interview no one can give you a specific response. Posting your dates will help others from your area who are yet to follow you as well.

I had my interview in Garden city office, NY.

N-400 sent - march 14
FP - april 8
1st interview - June 28
2nd interview - Aug 20

I had to show them proof residency as i have taken many trips outside the country in last 5yrs...After the second interview the IO said she will recommend for an approval but supervisor has to review the documents and will send a written decision of my case via mail in couple of weeks...i have been waiting 5wks now but no response...does anyone know the time period for the oath letter after the interview?

Supervisor review adds two or three weeks at least, depending on supervisor's load. I don't know how many ceremonies are scheduled in NY per month. Hopefully you'll get your letter soon. I would suggest that if you don't hear anything in a couple of weeks to schedule an Infopass to find out. Infopass can be scheduled from the http://www.uscis.gov page.

M_abraham12, could you give some details on your trips? I'm sort of in the same boat here (had multiple trips, one was for 5 months) and really concerned about my naturalization process. Just trying to get some statistics on when they start asking for some additional docs regarding the residency. Thanks!

Its been 6 weeks after my second interview..still havnt heard from USCIS...
I called them up today but was no help..They asked me usual timeframe is atleast 7 months..My priority date is march 14th...so the operator asked me to call after oct 14th??
