Waiting time for I-485...

Hi everybody,
First of all, I'd love to thank you all for being there and answering our questions.
I have filed my case at the beginning of October 2004, and my number is 16XXX in europe category. My number has arrived, I guess that means it's current? Then I went and got my work-permit since they didn't send it in 90 days.
Even though my number is current, I still didn't receive any decision about my greencard application. Should I start worrying? Should I ask my lawyer to send them a letter and ask about my case? I just don't know how long should I wait, and my lawyer is just telling me to wait.

Waiting for I-485

Hy, I am in NY my number came available in December. My lawyer send in everything in Dec. 15. After fingerprinting, and biometric, I just got my interview date last week for early March! So hang in there, but your lawyer can do an inquire at the local INS office.

Ask your lawyer to send in an inquiry about your case. It doesn't hurt and it reminds your lawyer that that's why he is getting pay for.
