Waiting info from National Visa center

MY ND is 09/25/00. Just now I spoke to very good IIO. She went through all documents like fp and others. Finally she said, we waiting some info from national visa center and it will take 4 to 6 weeks. Any body know what this procedure and how long it will take.

Seems like your I140 was approved for Consular processing and your file was sent to NVC. Since you have applied for AOS(485), INS is requesting your file back from NVC.
If the IIO said 4 to 6 weeks, I guess(hope) it should take less than that.

May be not but INS sometimes approves it for consular processing anyway. This was the case with me.
