Waiting GC interview

I'm on immediate relative category for GC and i filed on sept 2001

this is my statue in stand for BCIS web site...


On September 25, 2002, we transferred your I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another BCIS office for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. That office will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.

this is the last step for getting green card and how log will it take???
please help me out!!!!

I read your posting & wanted to tell you that I AM in the same situation.......
I am under immediate relative first preference category & filed my I-485 in Dec 2002 @ VSC , if you know the answer of following questions, pls. advise, it would greatly hep me.......

1) how long do I have to wait for the interview ????
2) I have my A#.... & how can I check the status to know which date are they processing for Interview ???
3)What happens if I get married before the Interview date .....
which category will i get pushed to & how long is the wait for that category ???

I would really appreciate an answer from you asap.........
