Waiting for Visa# (EB3 PD 3/99)

I just spoke to an IIO and he told me that my processing is done and that I am in the "VISA HOLD" shelf which means that I am waiting for a Visa# to be assigned.

How long does this take? and who assign it?
Whom can I ask ?

He gave me a # 202 663 1541 to enquire but that does not help??

I think your date become current in June Visa bulletin right? If so it will be current only effective july 1st. You might want to wait till end of this month. Hope this helps.

does it depend on ur dates being current??
I thought 485 had nothing to do with ur priority.

  I am also Jan 5th 1999 case / EB3/ FP Done waiting for Approval. Never called IIO. Next month we all will have good news.

485 can be filed only when PD is current and same goes for adjudicating your case

I just called IIO and she told me that my case is on "VISA ON HOLD RACK AND IT WILL BE APPROVED ONCE THEY GET THE VISA NUMBER".
I don\'t understand howcome the VISA NUMBER is not available. Any thought ??
Also I think the Approval Patter is sorted on PD then ND ( ??).

PD: MArch\'1999
ND : March\'2000
FP : MArch\'2001
