waiting for J1 waiver...CP or AOS?

Hi everybody,

I got a favorable recommendation from DOS for getting a waiver for the 2year home residency requirement in my J1 visa. The problem is that I'm still waiting for the final waiver from USCIS...and my CP interview for the lottery will be scheduled in October.

Can I just use the DOS recommendation letter in the interview? or should I change from CP to AOS?

you will most likely get your waiver before the interview. If not, reschedule your CP interview.
