waiting for I-485 receipt Nov. 2002

Friends,

I am waiting for 485 receipt.INS received application on 11/22/02 and i have received FP notice but no 485 receipt.

MD:11/21/02
RD:/11/22/02

just wondering does any one know how to contact INS in case of
lost 485 receipt.I tried calling VERMONT (8025274913 )centre but no luck.I guess going in person is the only way.

Friends please help by sharing your views ?

Could you provide more details about your FP. Like Mailed Date, INS Recevied Date and NoticeDate, etc.

I mailed my 485/EAD/AP on 12/11/2002 and INS Received it on 12/12/2002. Not recevied any receipts yet.

It took 55 - 60 days for receiving the receipt notice. I hope you should get it any time soon.

I mailed it on 11/05/2002 and receieved the receipt on 12/27.

485 Receipt

Did any one received the I-485 receipt filed in month of november 2002.

My lawyer filed 485 on Nov 13 (based on I-140 which was filed in October) and guess what.... INS returned my 485 application two days ago, since it sat in their mail room for more than two months and they could not encash the check - the check expired after 90 days. the check was made by my company in October.

Now I have to resend my application with a new check. End result, I start all over again.... What the F... I don't care any more. I am going to vegas....

Be aware, if you have not received your receipt notice for 485 for a long time... this is one of the possibilities.
