Waiting for H1 Transfer receipt

The application for H1 transfer was sent through fedex on Aug 16 to VSC. it was applied under regular processing. I haven't received any communication from USCIS. The cheques have not been encashed until now. Don't know what is happening at VSC. Does it take this much time to enter the data into the system?????

I lost all hope and asked the company to send in application to upgrade it to premium processing. Don't know how this is going to help as nobody knows where the application is.

Anybody in the same situation?????

I am getting very impatient day by day.

Starting from June 30th under Bi-specialization program, the H-1B transfers and extensions will be processed by CSC and new H-1B's will be processed by VSC. You can apply H-1B transfer, extension or new application at VSC or any other center but will be forwarded to respective centers based on the above rule. So, in your case it might be taking time in the transfer process. You will get the receipt soon. But if you are not able work because of receipt I think you should call both VSC and CSC and make sure they have your application. Call always helps.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know the phone numbers of VSC and CSC. I thought only 800 number for National Service Center answers any quesries and VSC and CSC will not entertain any such queries unless it is a premium process application.

Are there specific numbers where I can reach CSC and VSC for regular cases?

Thanks.

I have a similar issue where we sent our H1 trasfer case to VSC on Sep 6th and they received on 7th, but we did not receive the receipt yet. Normally for Premium cases it should not take more than 3-4 working days to get receipt number. I have sent several emails to INS and get reply's saying they do not have the file and asked to check back in few days. This is just ridiculous. I even sent them the DHL proof.

If you get the receipt number, please post it on this forum.

H1 Transfer Premium Processing no receipt yet too

Hi Bikki,

Any news on the receipt number, I am on the same boat hope my lawyer filed with the CSC instead of NSC.

I have resigned my current company and waiting on the receipt number for joining new company.

Application sent on 6th Sep no receipt yet.

Dear raka006
Could you give me information on your official receipt date?
I just filed for H1B transfer around 20 Dec and never received receipt number from Vermont center as of 29 Dec. My lawyer think it has been transferred to California. I started working for new company one week after (27 Dec) my lawyer sent out my petition beliving that my receipt number may have been generated but have not released to lawyer yet.
I will be in trouble if the receipt date is later than my starting date.

Anxously waiting for your reply.

it may be due to holidays

thumbs up, it may be due to the holidays and all. just hang on you will get H1-B approval form the date your lawyer applied. They need 15 working days to approve. USCIS will fax receipt notice and also the approval notice to your lawyer.

I am not sure of the vermont vs csc thing.

Either way you should be fine as long as you have all the right documents.

good luck

My petition was approved on 28 Dec from California Svc Ctr.
It may be ture for all H1B transfer now taken care at the California Svc Ctr.
Tell lawyer to go directly California if it is transfer case to save time.
