Hey guys,
I am one more person in wait game of uscis. Here are few of my details:
PD:Sep 1, 2006 (Chicago Lock box)
FP:Sep 19, 2006
Interview: Dec 12, 2006 (sacramento D.O.)
I had an interview togather with my wife for I485 & I130 and lady who took our interview was really rude and bossy. She didn't say wether my application is approved or not? She didn't stamp my passport!! All she said was that she will mail us the decision! She made three corrections regarding my phone number and address on I485 which changed recently.
She didn't tell me anything wether my name check id done or not?? Wether we guys are thru?? As she was being so rude , my wife and myself we just kept quite.
Well guys i wanted to find out how long does it take from the interview to the decision made, or a letter of approval. I have not seen any change on the internet also as well on my case , my last update was on Nov 21, 2006
Even before the interview, i have no idea whats going on  Help me out, plzzzz

Don't feel bad, I had my interview on 9/18/06 and still waiting for an answer from them, made an Infopass after the inidicated 90 days were up, all I got was all BS from the officer I spoke with. Sent the DO's director a complaint, and I've received a letter from them out of nowhere saying that my case needs an extra 2 months for review, so hopefully I will get something within the 2 months, but I am going to make infinite Infopass appointments with them just to make sure I'm heard.

as far as i know, sometimes the officers have different levels, for the junior levels, they cannot make decision right away, they have to bring to supervisor's attention. so i don't think you need to worry too much. I got interviewed in Sep. too and it's said they need further review too, but before christmas, i got welcome letter. so just wait. Good luck!

Same here

i had my interview on Dec 13 and nothing happen after that no updates or any thing . i will wait for a month or 2 then i will have an info pass .hopefully will help . good luck to us

Just a pointer I've learned lately, bring your passport with you to Infopass, you might be able to get yours stamped if the officer there said yours is approved.

Just wondering about the whole process of AOS. So once your name check and stuff is cleared, you are called in for an interview? And then they let you know there or via mail whether it is approved or not? And how long do they have from the interview to give a decision? And then, if/when they approve it, does the approval comes in mail with the green card? Sorry so many questions...

In the same boat..

Had my interview on Dec 5th - all went well, approved and passport stamped on the day of the interview for 2 months validity, but no updates, green card or welcome letter since then.

I think the delays are probably because of the holiday season.

You are summoned for an interview when USCIS sends you a I-797 notice with the date, time, and place. It doesn't necessarily happen after everything is cleared, for example, I had my interview before they were finished with my security checks. If your checks came out clear before the interview, and you do well with enough evidence showing your marriage is a bona fide one, then you will be approved right on spot, then you will get a welcome letter, and finally your greencard.

Well I got you beat on this. Had my interview on 3/24/06, I130 aprroved on 3/25/06 and nothing about I485 since then. Did the Infopass thing, which is a waste of time becasue they don't tell you anything you already don't know.

At least you have your Advance Parol approved, I don't, because I overstayed my visa for more than 180 days, and I'm sorry to hear that we are on the same boat in terms of waiting for our GC's, let's hope good things will come in 2007. :)

Still Waiting For Aos Approval 16 Months+

Hey Guys,

I am still waiting on there decision for AOS application, it seems that no one questionable, no one anwerable for this. Info pass says they have sent for some inquiry to foriegn embassy. From Jan 2007 they have the same anwer, wether you take info pass or not same difference. Calling 1800 number they keep on opening inquiry for outside processing cases, they opened twice and dealing centre says they actively processing.
I have given up, cuz all sames to mary-go-round buisness with no answer. I have filled my documents in sep 2006 and interviwed in dec 2006. RFE completed in Jan 2007.
Is there any one out there in the same boat, or been thru this, pls advice the best way to proceed, waitnwatch is really depressing.

Thanks +

Tyler,

Did u get help from congress representative, should i send her an e-mail or need to take an appoitment with her.

Could you be more descriptive on this.

Is there any timeframe set up for USCIS to clear the AOS case, there should be some time restrictions. Web site only advice 6 months but case like mine is pending from 16 months.

Senator Office

This information is going to helpful to everyone like, i would appreciate if you could elaborate on the information and procedure to contact the local senator. Should a personal meeting be arranged or e-mail should do the job.

Hi guys, if you are going thru this message, i would appreciate if some could suggest me way to deal with this long wait for decision on I485. Is anyone in the same boat???
