I am trying to help someone from Africa who has had tremendous trouble with his asylum procedure. Luckily, he has just be rescheduled to appear in front of the judge in May 2004. That leaves him some time to get the best advice. Problem is: no money. I thought such a person could be granted a work permit. He tried and was refused. This is the priority now: work permit, find a job, make money, pay lawyers. What can be done? Can he try again? He is in the Boston area. Thanks for your input.
