Waiting For A Response....

As it happens.... I was granted asylum on June 2006.... since that time my father was victim of prosecution in our country... He came to USA and apply for Asylum in April, 2008 and he had his interview on May 13,2008. They were scheduled for the response on May 27,2008, but the day before the official called and advised that the response wasn't ready because my mom'sfingerprints didn't arrived on time (despite the fact that my mom and dad did their fingerprints on the same day and they received my dad's fingerprints). My mom went to an Immigration Office and had her fingerprints taken again. Since then we have been waiting for a response, we wento to the IO in Miami and they just told us to wait (No one check a computer, or anything like that....). Can you please advise us if this is normal... and If so... how long is going to take to have a response and what we can do in order to expedite the response...
Thanks for your usual cooperation!!!!!

Try filing an inquiry about your case and writing them a letter. You basically have to keep checking in with them on a regular basis - perhaps once a month.
