Hi I arrived here in USA in march 2000 . In 2001 I applied for asylum and was denied, then my case was appealed in 9th circuit. Then I received the decision from the 9 circuit that my asylum was denied and I got voluntary departure letter. Now I am married to a US Citizen we have a lawyer helping with our case.
My I-130 was approved and I got working card from a petition. Now the case is been re-opened in 9th circuit for petition case.

Anybody with similar case ? How long does it usually take so i can apply for I-485 ? Any info would help,,,Thank you so much,,,,:)

You better go with your married case. Asylum route will create more problem.
I thought after I-130 you can apply your gc right away? I'm not sure the proccess, but I remember my friend she got denied and married with usc got her gc less than 6 months.

You got totaly MIXED-UP.
Talk your attorney to legally help you to get your FACTS STRAIGHT.
- May you should work on the cancelation of your deportation (voluntary departure)
-When 9th circuit denies you, it means that the Asylum is FINAL, the case is close and terminated (No further proceedings - end of the road for that claimed asylum).
-I-130 goes along with the I-485, they are unseparable.
You got mixed-up, get your facts straight.

Above all if your are approved for I-130 you should be fine, forget about the Asylum.
Best Luck

Thank you so much for your help. I'm gonna ask lawyer about that because I'm confused why he's combining the two cases and not just forgetting the asylum and just apply for I-485.
