Waiting after submitting Reply to RFE

I had submitted RFE Reply (ability to pay) which USCIS received on Dec 17, 04. Still I have not received USCIS's decision. I don't understand why they are not taking a decision.

LUD was initially changed to 12/18/04 and then to 12/21/04 while LUD for I485 is 12/8/04 the date USIS sent RFE for I140. Though FP were done on 9/21/04, status shows only the receipt date for I485.

My I140 and I 485 RD 2/25/04 (concurrent filing)
My Pririty Date 5/15/02

Is there anyone waiting so long after submitting reply to RFE?

Any guess as to what could be the reason for USCIS not taking a decision on reply to RFE?

Education Eval. RFE response received by USCIS on 12/27. All approved on Jan 6. I would say give it a few more days.
