Wait time after fingerprint

How long did you guys have to wait after you got fingerprinted to get an appointment?

I have given my 2nd finger printing on 01-oct-2004 and still not change in status of I-485 pending

from what i heard from my friend who got his gc this yr..it took him 3-4 months after FP to get his 485 cleared. he did only one FP. he did not have any interview (that is what he told me)
some people go through multiple FPs , and some of them go through the interview...but i think it is random. its not a rule...from what i read or heard.
