waht's wrong about my approve notice?

Hi, on my 485 approve notice it said " The above application has been approved. Prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics processing. Please do not take any action at this time. If you are required to report for this processing, you will receive another notice advising you of the date, time and location to appear. If you have not received your permanent resident card or the above mentioned to apper for biometrics processing within 90 days, Please call this office at the number listed below"

It has already passed by 30 day and I didn't receive any notice. So this situation is nomal or not? Did anybody receive the same message with me? By the way my FP is code 1. My local ASC is kind of small and it even did't offer to take pictures.
 
Call this no and ask, they would schd ur bio,once done then wait for update msg and ur mail box.

"If you were granted permanent resident status or entered the U.S. with an immigrant visa more than 60 days ago and have not received your first permanent resident card, please call 1-800-375-5283"

Lately people have been receiving different types of approval notices. Yours seems to be a brand new one. I guess they are saying that you will get a Boimetric Notice. Was your FP code 3 with Biometric? If it was then USCIS has already captured your Biometrics and the physical card will be mailed to you. If not then you will get another notice that will request you to get the Biometrics done. Earlier the Biometrics capture was part of the PP stamping process. Now it has changed.

Hope this clears some of your confusion.

Congratulation. Looks like CIS completed processing of your 485 but final approval not yet done due to unavailable of visa number. Can you please post your Priority Date, EB category ?

I received this 485 approve notice on SEP 20,05. The actually approval date should be SEP 13, 05 when I received email notice.

Do you guys think I need to wait for the PD becoming current to get my physical card? My PD is FEB,05,eb2. If that's true, it will be a long journy before me. Please clear my thought. Thanks!

Dear Friend,

You sound totaly confuse with understaing of your 'Approval'. and 'PD'.

Here in simple way,

USCIS will not approve any G.C untill visa number is available in that catagory.

YOU ALREADY GOT APPROVAL.... in Sept, in Sep. :D :D smile.... you should not worry NO MORE about Visa number. the v-no is already assigned to you.

Few months beofore ppl were used to to go for I-551 stamping on passport as temprary evidence of LPR stauts, because physical card was taking time and ppl want to travel. and that make USCIS ppl have extra burdun of work.and that I-551 process also triger 181(I believe) "Creation of Record of Permenant Resident".

As solution they changed process to Biometices+sign+photo solutions when they issue the FP. and for ppl who done FP (but no sign+photo) for those they are issuing the 'APPROVAL' letter and saying to 'APPROVED ALIEN'
Mr Aein Congrats we appvd u, all u need to go for Biometrics to complete the process and no need for I-551 stamp, they would send u Plastic card .


I hope it would help u to und.

If u haven;t got the biometrics call yet, then USE the ph no in prv reply and call and talk with them they would issue biometrics.

You're APPROVED my friend. Biometric is relatively a new requirement for ordering plastic card. However, you might want to get an INFOPASS and get your passport stamped, as who knows how long the plastic card might take.

I got the same letter in May,05 and the maximum time given to me was 60 days. However,I got the biomet notice 82 days after the approval of 485 (22 days above the maximum stated day in the letter), its very normal especially if you are in NSC. Don't worry much you will get every thing. Further, we took infopass appnt after 60 days, but local INS/DHS refused to stamp the PP they told me that as per the new regulation PP can be stamped only if I have to travel abroad and show them original Ticket, otherwise Biomet is the must.
This is all my personal experience, not a legal suggestion.

Lily321 YOU ARE APPROVED !!! :)

If they have everything to create your card they will send you the card.

If they dont have everything to create your card they will ask you for it (example : biometrics, FP, photo).

The reason this happens is because the card printing location is centralized and is different from the place where your case gets adjucated . That is whay you get a strange approval notice from the place where your case was adjucated. Because the card printing location has to verify , if they have everything , if they do have everything then they have to check if it is within the timeframe of FP/Photos being valid etc etc ....
