Hello everybody ,
I applied for I485 in January 2002 and am waiting for my GC .
My problem is , my company is not doing well and there have been lay-offs , almost everybody was sacked including our vice-president. they kept me employed because of my GC processing , but cut my pay to almost half .my salary was x when i filed for Labour , now they cut it to .5x and 30hrs/week
(i'm a regular employee ,not a contractor )
i'm actively looking for jobs now. but as INS is working on Dec2001 cases :

now would this affect my GC in anyway?????

what if i get an RFE ??? would the current situation create a problem in the final stage????
any ideas ????
thanks in advance.

I think that as long as you are working and able to provide emplyment letter & pay stuff , you should be fine ! At the same time, you should try for new job as well for just in case !

Because Green card is for future employment, in case there is a RFE, you can get a letter from your employer stating the intention of continued employment. I guess you are fine. But as suggested by cmacti, better be on the lookout for a job. Don't have that much attachment to your present employer.
