Hi,
I received the 485 approval last week and got the stamp done the very next day:
here is our journey

Janv 2001: Apply to labor
feb 2003: company withdrawed my application ( got very angry !!!!!)
april 2003: file I140 using a pre-approved labor
sept 2003: file I485
april 2004: FP (15 days later result of FP receive)
jan 2005: conatcted senator Feinstein ( who declined to help)
contacted senator BOXER ( who sent several inquiry, and offer to do a FBI name check inquiry)
conatcted Sam Farr (house representative for santa cruz county) who did several inquiries

june 2005 : against attorney advice, did an inquiry to the BCIS (received the answer the following week, stating that they are waiting for name clearance)
july 2005 : made a FBI inquiry about name chack and privacy act.
july 13th of 2005: attorney received the approval. My online status did not changed.

Can you provide details on the FBI inquiry you made and privacy act ?

Can you please provide what inquiry you did recently with FBI and the privacy thing you mentioned. Was it through the email that stupid email or something else?

Congratulations Bailekai. At least one of us is happy...

I'm facing the same issue with my name check and I would like to know how you obtained a status from the FBI.
