WAC-03-153 case approved

I received an e-mail from USCIS stating that my case, WAC-03-153, was approved yesterday (05/18/2004). Online case status reflects that as well.

I fell some sort of mixed feelings right now. I am happy for having the case approved but guilty at the same time for all the others that still waiting, old-timers and newcomers.

Details about my case:

EB1, Concurrently filling, no RFE
I-485: RD: 04/18/2003, ND: 04/21/2003, AD: 05/18/2004 - WAC-03-153
I-140: RD & ND: 02/20/2003, AD: 07/02/2003 – WAC-03-107
1 iEAD and 1 EAD
2 APs
1 FP: 03/31/04

I am grateful for the support that this community has been offering during this process.. I just hope that our colleagues waiting longer in the line will have their cases approved soon.

Thanks to all the dedicated volunteers that keep this Forum going and taking some unnecessary abuse. Few names: Kashmir, 140 Takes 4 Ever, ND022202 among many others.

Let’s find out what is next.

Warm regards!

No reason for you to feel guilty! Approvals being out of queue is not your doing. If anything blame INS. Whatever said and done, you have been in queue for more than 180 days and hence your approval is your RIGHT!

Congratulations! :) Don't let the party stop! :)

Congrats man! As 140_ mentioned, there is not reason for you to feel guilty! Enjoy your approval...

Congratulations !!

My pleasure, and enjoy your freedom,

BrazilNuts, please do all of us a favor

Could you please post or e-mail your WAC number? Then we can go to the USCIS Online Case Status check and print out the hard evidence of EB WAC03 approval.

So far, caseworkers at Congressional offices tell me the party line that the JIT date is March 1, 2002 and anybody after that date should wait. When I raise a question of later approval, they say that according to the CSC that is not happening. One of the caseworkers said that she could take up the issue ONLY IF I can present her hard evidence (not the alledged approvals on this bulletin board, which are nothing more than hearsay).

Please I plead you BrazilNuts, could you let us know your exact WAC number?

Thank you.

I would like to thank you all for the nice words posted here.

Sumata: You should be able to produce the evidence you need by scanning the case status search. One can do that manually (as I have done in the past) or using Kashmir scanner. You should be able to get the information on the different approved applications claimed in this Forum.

Didn't Work

BrazilNuts,

Thank you for your post. I'm mildly technologically challenged, and never figured out how to get Kashimir program to work. I tried to run it, I always got an error message.

As for doing it manually, yes I tried it the day you posted your approval. I used to be able to find out approved I-485 cases (which, by the way does not distinguish EB or Asyllum based, and hence it is not 'hard evidence' per my congressional office caseworker. Unless I show that it is an EB case, similar to mine, they would not take it up), after trying 1,000 case numbers or so manually. The USCIS must have changed the way it allows us to check our status ---- now after a couple of hundred tries, it gives back a message of too many inquiries, the online case status check is only meant for individuals checking their own status, and my inquiry will be suspended for an indefinite amout of time. Now I cannot even check my own status. I cleaned up cookies and cache several times, but it did not help.

So, if you post/e-mail your WAC number and I have that number, and then try the online case status check (at a computer at a local library) and print it out, I have a 'credible' case of EB approval.

I really appreciate your understanding.
