I-485 has been approved.
Concurrent filing:
I-140 (EB-OR),I-485, AP, and EAD RD: April 17th, 2003
140 AD July 3rd, 2003
2 APs and 2 EADs approved
FP March 17th, 2004
Online status updated on March 25th re: FP results received etc...
485 approval July 12th, 2004
waiting for spouse's 485 to get approved soon too.

LUD: 6/29 (received fax reply from USCIS on 29th for our fax inquiry on June 17th) 7/2 (changed for spouse also), 7/13

Emails received from USCIS a few hours ago, Online status as well as voice message have been updated too.

Congrats on your approval!

Can you pls give us info as regards what did you send the fax inquiry for? Your case was in april 2003 and uscis is processing as of june 2002. Do uscis entertain such faxes? what did you receive as the reply fax from uscis?

Basically we just faxed stating that the case is 'adjudication ready'. It had the usual details, EB-OR, 140 AD date, priority date, 485 ND etc etc. The idea was to avoid RFE if possible and have someone pull the file off the shelf. We had no idea if it will work (still dont know if that worked). They quickly responded back saying that we are one year away from the JIT on 29th June. JIT was March 2002 I guess back then. On 29th our LUD changed for the derivative for that reason, on July 2nd, LUD changed for both. This is all my guess, it might as well be luck or fluke, you never know. Thankfully it did not backfire.

Just wanted to let you know that spouse's I-485 got approved too within 24 hours of Primary's approval.

Primary LUD: 6/29, 7/2, 7/13 AD 7/12
Derivative LUD: 7/2, 7/14 AD 7/13

What a relief!

Special thanks to Kashmir, 140 takes forever and many many moderators who kept everyones morale high and gave much needed information...
