hi ,
Applied Apr 2002 and still waiting. 2nd FP done. My wife called INS 2 times and about 2mths back got a reply from INS saying "please don't call for 180 days.". I am wondering anyone got a reply like that ?. Its not moving at all. Can i call INS before 180days or keep sending faxes?. Please advice.

Have not received FP2 yet. This week my lawyer inquired (quite reluctantly) and got the standard message of FP will be scheduled within 120 days. Back in July they had said "within 60 days" - go figure.

keep sending faxes - no harm. That's what I am doing and to no effect.
 
Do you have LUD's, east2west and nath_r?
If you have LUD's in recent days, you may figure out the 2nd FP. If you did not file AP or EAD and got LUD in recent days, you shall receive the FP notice soon. You may ask me how about me. I have not received the 2nd FP notice, but I have expected I will get it soon because I like to place the importance to my LUDs that have changed recently. I don't know it is sure, but according to the statistics based on this forum, many people've got the second FP notice in 30 days after LUD changed.

My LUD had changed several times in last 5 months (once in June, twice in July, twice in Aug and the last one being on Sep 27) - a couple of them being due to enquiries by me and lawyer but no idea what the others were for.

filed April 2002...no 2nd fp yet...previously asked to wait for 60 days...
lawer sent an enquiry again...have not yet heard of the 120 day stuff.
I am not sure what is stopping them from issuing a fp...even the
name check also cleared in Jan 2003 for this case.
 
The best things we can do are to fax inquiries, to send letters to Congressman or Senator,and to make phone calls to 800 number. I think USCIS does not care of inquiries. I think they respond to inquiries randomly...
 
maybe there is a correlation between how many times you post here in two and a half years and your progress on your application :D :D :D :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

moral of the story, don't wait until you are in deep doodoo until you decide to get involved
 
in my wife's case the 2nd FP is done in Aug itself

I don't know what else will be . The LUD changed only once on oct 26 or so when everyone's date changed. My lawyer gives some crap story that he can enquire not sure will get any reply she is saying even before she is enquiring it. Any idea how to reach the congressman for any help?.
 
Put the words "congressman or senator" your city to the some search engine sucah as yahoo or altvista, and click the search button. If you find his or her website, click it. You can see the email form or case work file.
I think the best way to trigger some action on our cases is to get some help congressman or senator. If congressman or senator sends letter to INS, INS should respond by some action officially. That's why we need his or her help!!!
 
I received the 2nd FP notice both for my wife and me. I like to do early than the scheduled date. Last two months I did two inquiries by making phone calls and faxing papers. I sent two letters to Senator and Congressman...

how to contact senator in bay area ?

Hi,
I see some of you have already sent letters/email to the senator. Can you please tell me how do i find out whom to send it. If you have already sent it can you please tell me the format and person to whom you sent it.
