Initially I provided affidavits from parents for my birth certificate. They asked for atleast Non-Availability and Employement letter(with 4 recent paystubs and 2001 W2) since my company merged with Keane effective July 1st.
I provided non-availabilty and employement info.

If birth is not registered in India they will provide Non-Availablity within 2 days. This is one of the inputs to register your birth in Indian records.
