RFE for my husband was usual stuff along with tax returns and also birth certificate
RFE for myslef birth certificate

In our case our case was transferred to Chennai without letting us know. Everytime I called the BCIS, they sais case assigned to an officer. That's all eye wash. When the local congressman nterfered, the file was brought back from chennai and we got the RFE.

Passport not stamped yet. On-line message and AVM not updated yet.

What was the birth certificate RFE for?
Had you not attached copies with your original applications?
 
Thank you all for your wishes and I pray that all of you should get soon. RFE for birth certificate was obtained because we submitted affidavits as we did not have the proper birth certifcate. Even though we submitted non availability certificate we still got the RFE. this time, we manageed to get the original birth certificates.

What if I dont have the original birth certificate and only have affidavits? I cant get original birth certificate. This is scary.
