WAC-01-256-xxxx...

Just talked to an IIO (I believe some oriental female who was polite but a bit difficult to understand!) about my case:

WAC-01-256-xxxx
RD: 6/8/01
ND: 8/13/01
FP: 12/13/01

This case is still sitting on some shelf.. not assigned to any officer yet. I wonder if I\'ll ever be able to get rid of INS from my nightmares.
Been waiting since the early nineties to get a GC! Came to the US in the late eighties! Anyone else in the same boat?

I have the same feeling too.....

I just called INS 2 minutes ago and very lucky to reach an
oriental lady by 2th try. First I verified my mailing address with her
because I have moved to current address starting from 1st Jan
this year and since then I sent my address change notification to
INS HQ Washington DC. Still INS has not updated my old
address with current one and She just changed it accordingly.
Then I asked about my case status and she told me still not
assigned to officer. She did mention the notice date so I guess
might be the AD has something to do with ND. The overall
experiences is good and she was polite and not rude at all .
Hope this makes sense and just keep finger crossed.

I heard my case is also waiting to assign to an officer

I spoke to a similar type of lady(IIO) 2 weeks back, it was very difficult to understand what she was telling. They have not yet assigned our case to officer.
