W2 and paystubs requirement !!

Hi,
Does anyone know when they say they need W2 and paystubs after initial assessment, do they mean certified (notarized) copies or the originals ?

Thanks to all who answer on this forum and good luck to those still waiting. I'm sure you all will get a response soon.

I'm not sure, but I guess they're almost the same thing - notarizing /certifying for our purposes. I haven't heard of notarizing W2's and paystubs myself...which is why I'm wondering if the originals have to be sent (I doubt that though)...any idea ??

At the time of applying they had strictly told us not to send the originals. So I don't think one has to.

I can't understand how work ex letters can be notarized. Because they involve 2 people, you and the person who is writing it for you. It can't be possible that both would go to the notary.
