Are W-2s needed or will pay stubs suffice? now a days consulates asked for all prior w2. if you dont have one then say them that you havent got the 2003 w2 yet but instead show them copy of ALL the paystubs

the more the better. but 3 is a good number. i head cases like chennai consulate sometime asked all the paystub and w2.

but what was your concern. do you have any w2/paystrub and lca differences?

concern is that my employer

screwed up previous W-2s. The figures for social sec are incorrect.
They have taken 3 months to get amended W2c and still counting.

I was wondering if I can avoid the whole W-2 issue altogether and instead show the paystubs

I can take chances at New Delhi if TTS visas (where I will be filing the H1 application) does not specifically ask for W-2 in the first go.

Chennai has specifically stated on its website that ALL paystubs and ALL W-2s are needed (which means a stack of paper for people who have worked for multiple years in US)
New Delhi has not.
So I was wondering if New Delhi is lax about it.

I have been with the same employer throughout anyway so am hoping W-2s may not be required

No LCA / W2 issues

just to be clear in case it helps in generating clearer responses
Thanks again for the help
