VSC Sept'2002 I-140 tracking

Still no receipt

Filed I-140 (not with I-485) on September 9, 2002. No receipt yet. Cannot file I-485 till the receipt comes in.

India 1975 did you get your receipt?

Is there anyone whose I-140 got filed on Sep 9th and still havent received the receipt?

I-140 processing time at vermont center

Hi,

I just joined this forum. I am about to file my I-140 form the vermont center.

I checked at the web site at it says the they are still processing cases filed on 12th Feb 2002. Is that correct?

Does that mean that it will take 8-9 months before the INS will start working on my case.

Thats true. There are lot of folks, but not everybody, still waiting for I-140 from Feb '02.

Vermont may speed up its process some time in future, as they did last year. Some people last year waited as much as 8-9 months and later they processed all together and some lucky folks got I-140 within couple of weeks too...!!

Being said that, Never ever trust INS on what its gonna do in future. Why don't you just do a concurrent I-140/I-485 filing ?. That saves you whole lot of deal waiting for your I-140.

I-140 filed on Sep 9, 2002, still no receipts

1975, did you finally get you receipts??

I am playing the waiting game.

Received the I-140 receipt

I called my attorney yesterday afternoon and he faxed me the I-140 receipt. Here are the details:

Mailing date: 9/9/2002
Received date: 9/10/2002
Notice date: 9/12/2002

1975 check with your attorney, he might have already got the receipt.

Now its time to get frustrated over I-485 filing.

ND (Notice date ): ??
AD (Approval date ):??

Filed concurrently with 485.
FP notice received by lawyer on 10/16/02. Case number not known to me. So, I cannot check/confirm receipt details.

ND - 09/21/02
AD - 10/18/02

Congradulations! could you tell the first 9 char/number in your case number? I don't have my I140 receipt and case number because company won't release it to me as a policy. Thanks,

Congrats Gateway. Its good to read when someone gets I140 approved. And that too so fast !!!. Gives me hope that Miracles do happen :)

Got my I-485 Reciept Today !!!.

Looks like they took 15 days to send me the notice. Probably were searching for the corresponding I-140 :)
