VSC-I485 Filing: days to get Receipt notice - Urgent.

Hi,
Please advice me how long it takes to get notice for I485 from the date of filing? Do I need wait for I485 approval notice to get EAD directly.

Siva , you will get receipt within 30 days.

Your employer or attorney will get first then they will forward
it to you.Hope it helps.

I sent my I485 on 24th july satill waiting for receipts.It crossed 30 day period for me.
 
It is taking about 1 month 20 days...

by looking at the current trend approx. that much time it is taking.

The average time would be anywhere from 1 month to 3 months. When I filled lastyear in November it took me about 1 month to get the Recpt Notice, now you can expect to have more delays as Priority Dates are current for all categories and I heard that VSC is having some mail room backlogs.

It depends on our luck!

I mailed mine on july 18th. I have been checking my bank balance everyday.check not yet encashed. No sign of reciept. There are few people who applied after july 12th got their reciept 10 days back. So it all depends on our luck
