Thanks KKulkar, I shall search the forum you have mentioned. I have asked them to file for 485 and to switch to CP after EAD is approved. I hope this does not create any problems for me.
Is the EAD sent to the employee or the lawyer/employer?

Oh, I forgot to mention that my case would go to Mumbai Consulate.
