Anyone who has filed for I-130 at Vermont Service Center on or after March 12, 2007 and has been approved, please respond.

Apparently, the I-130 processing is stuck on March 12, 2006 for the past 3-4 months and I am wondering what's going on there. Any other thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

I filed my I-130 in November '06 and have checked the VSC every month and it has not budged. Didn't we just pay taxes? What are they being paid to do...?

Hi SVLV,

I see that you had applied for I130/I485 in March 2006 which is still pending. I am a USC planning to apply GC for my father very soon. He is currently here in US with us (BTW I live in NJ which will fall under VSC). He has a 10 year Multiple Entry B2 visa. For this trip, its expiring on Oct. 20th 2007. I will be applying I130/I485 together along with I-131(AP) for him very soon.

Since processing times are taking longer in VSC, would it be possible for him to stay beyond Oct 20th if I had filed I485 and I -130 together along with I-131(Advanced Parole)? Is Yes, is there any chance that I-131 will get approved within 6 months ?

Your response is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance. Anyone who may have answers to my question, pls let me know

Thanks

Your questions have been answered many times in this forum.

Once you apply for I485, your father is in "AOS pending" status and can stay here in status.

I130/I485 filed concurrently (to Chicago lockbox) do not typically go by VSC I130 timeline. Instead you should follow your USCIS district office in NJ timeline for I485 interview. Also it only gives you an idea. Typically, it moves faster than published timelines indicate. For concurrent filers, I130 is usually approved just before I485 approval at the time of interview. VSC I130 timeline is primarily for I130 only filed at VSC for subsequent consular processing or AOS done separately.

I131 filed alongwith I485 to Chicago lockbox should follow I131 timeline under USCIS National Benefits Center which currently is little over 3 months.
