Would you be so kind as to answer a couple of questions about your EAD renewal card?

1. How long did it take between the notice date and approval.
2. Does the new card start (validity) from the date the old one expired?

The following are the answers to your questions.
1.My EAD ND is 09/10/00 (Actually RD:08/24/00 by FedEx)
and Approval Date is 10/17/00, Plastic card received
on 12/08/00.
2. Yes! the new cards validity started fromt the date old
card expired.

Hi Ravi,
How do you know your EAD approval date is 10/17/00? Did you heard from auto-answer machine or you received your EAD approval letter from INS. My EAD application is sent to INS with my I-485 form at the first day this month, I do not know how long I can receive my AD approval.

Initially 3 to 4 weeks after I sent the EAD application, I called
during off hours and got the Notice Date ( for checking this I got
the EAC # from my lawyer, this will take usually
around 4 weeks for the lawyer to get the EAD receipt).
When I called During end of October 2000 the AVM said that my case
was approved and a new card is ordered. After that I had to wait
6 more weeks for the actual plastic card.
Usually the plastic card is received in 2 to 3 weeks after the
approval, but in my case looks like there was some back log for
scanning the plastic card.
