Past my date of Feb 23, and I'm officially pissed off. Btw, by scanning the website I found eight 485 applications with same date as mine. Only 4 of them got approved so far.

So instead of there being only 1% of people who wait more than a year for the name check, as these lying criminal bastards who testify falsely to the congress would have us believe, we constitute more like 50%.

Huh, I found 360 I-485 applications with same date as mine. Approved: 183, Transferred: 58, RFE was undeliverable: 12

My date is August 25, 2003

help

Guys, I will greatly appreciate if you would share the info how to find the status of applications from the same date?

You have a reciept number. So you can try to scan https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do for cases with numbers that are close to yours. For example, cases with reciept numbers from EAC0323950000 to EAC0323957000 have notice date 08/25/03. There are all kinds of cases, but you can pick out only I-485 cases. uscis allows users with same IP to scan only 200 cases at a time, so you would need to change your IP to scan efficiently.

welcome to the real world. The processing dates means nothing. Is that new for you?
What`s the actual FBI NC/IBIS NC Investigative Dates? Do you believe in GC backlogs outside of USCIS?

you know, I already don't know what to belive anymore. My i140 was approved 6 month ahead of the published processing dates as well as EAD. i485 is pending despite the fact that the processing dates are 3 month past... I don't know.
re: FBI processing dates - here nobody knows nothing at all. I have an impression that they have no processing dates whatsoever, and only god really know what they are doing. It seems to me that USCIS is also using "security check" to shake us of its neck. The only impression i have is that VSC is approving based on PD.

Btw, I don`t see many approvals in VSC. My impression is that they`re busy working on those people cases that filed WOM. So, in this case, I don`t see any approval based on PD.

As i said, these are only my assumptions. I just noticed that most recent approvals published here are for people who filed in 2004 (with early PD) and earlier. Very few are for 2005+ filers

I think the random nature of approvals is due to the FBIs name check process. Unlike other checks/processes, they don't complete the checks in a first come first served order. If a 2006 applicant has 10 "hits" on his name, he will probably get approved way before a 2004 applicant who has 500 "hits". A lot of people seem to be getting approved very quickly these days - less than 3-4 months. Such people probably don't hang out on this site for extended periods of time.

In the past, the USCIS had a backlog of 485s, and it took them a long time - a year to year and a half as per published time lines. I guess that was roughly the time the FBI took to clear name checks in most cases. Thus, the heat was on the USCIS. Now that USCIS processing time has come down, suddenly it is the name check process that has become the focus of delays and WoM lawsuits.
