No. I was in CA all along. My employer is headquartered in NJ. Hence, for I-140 and I-485 were filed in VSC. However, my labor was approved in CA.

Could you let me know How was your stamping experience at San jose?
What are the documents you carried?
Also, How long it took to recieve physical approval paper after Auto message.

It was terrible. The total wait time was 8 hours. I-485 approval notice, passport, I-94, latest pay stub, EAD card, two photographs, and Advance parole were the documents that I carried. The officer retained the I-485 approval notice, I-94, EAD, photographs and Advance Parole documents. She stamped the I-485 approval on my passport (and obviously returned it).I received the physical document within about 10 days of the approval date.
