Its December 18th 2008 and USCIS has not update any cases for this month,it still says processing December 2007.Does this mean that all teh 2008 cases just stuck in limbo waiting to be processed in 2009?.And why was there no update this month?
 
Well, we have to try and be patient and give it at least 6-10 months before we hear anything on our cases. About the processing time not being updated, you should know this is probably the last thing on their priority of list of things to do. Also, please remember, the last week in New England has not been productive due to the severe weather conditions, for example, quite a few businesses, schools, etc... are closed or have only half a day today in MA and NH. Last week most businesses and homes were out of power for anywhere between 2-7 days. I dont knw about VT for sure, but this has been the case in NH and MA. Although this is expected in New England, this year somehow seems to have gone beyond expectations. and then the holidays are around, so I wouldnt expect things to move on a fast pace this month.

Guess all I am trying to say is dont expect any processing updates until Jan 09 :)

As easy as it is to say - enjoy your holidays and when Jan comes you could begin worrying I guess :)
