Hi,
I got here in August 2005 and I was given 6 mos to stay. My I-94 will be expiring on Feb. I already applied for an extension of my visitor stay last december and I was given until April 20 to complete the requirements they asked from me. Now, I have an employer who is willing to sponsor me for an H1 Visa. Working visa application will be officially opened in April 1. Is it possible that I apply for the H1 on April while waiting for my pending extension? Should I file my other requirements for extension right after April 1? Would it be better? What happens if my extension application is denied but I have an H1 visa application pending? What do you think is the best way to do?
