Visitor's visa for my dad's relative

I am currently in US on a green card. A relative of my dad wants to visit the US for couple of months. They want me to sponsor their visa. I am willing to provide the necessary documents for the visitor visa. Am I eligible to sponsor and what are the chances the visitor visa will get approved. How do I prove the relationship.

Visitor visas are self sponsored. You don't have to send anything. That relative has to show evidence that 1) he has a reason for travel and definite travel plan, 2) that he can afford the ticket and living expenses in the US, and 3) he will return to his country after the trip. You don't come in the picture at all.

You cannot be eligible or ineligible for something that does not exist. Visit visas are self-sponsored. A visitor to the US does not need any friend or relative to sponsor their visit.
