visitor visa while applying for fiance visa

My fiance lives in the phillipines. I plan to file the I 129f next week. Since this process is quite long to be approved, and she then needs to wait for approval when she files for her visa in phils, would she be able to request a visitor visa to come to the US to visit while the I 129f is pending? Should she mention while filing for the visitor visa that whe wants to visit her fiance?

She can certainly apply for a tourist visa.....just be aware that the likelihood of success of such an application is very slim from Phils. Im not too sure of the questions on the tourist visa application form, but if it asks for any pending visas then of course she must answer truthfully- to do otherwise would be misrepresentation and could seriously harm your K1.

Thank you so much for your timely reply. Of course she would be honest about the pending I 129f. In your experience though would it be better if she did not try to visit me in the states while the fiance visa is in the works?

Should not make a difference if she does (assuming she gets a visit visa) or does not visit you.
