Visitor Visa to TN Visa filling I-129 valid ?

Hi All, Here is my situation.

I am currently in the US on visitor visa, I am canadian citizen, got IT degree, previous work experience and job offer.

Can I apply TN visa by filling I-129, via premimum processing. So, dont have to exit out of the US.

Also, do I still need to exit US at some point to get it stamped ?

Also, the company is a consulting co but I do have a project in hand. Will there be any issues on this ?

You can indeed file I-129 to get your TN from within US, and not have to exit US, if you are in leagl status right now.

Just indicate that you are in B2 status (not visa) and date and place of entry. If no I-94 was issued to you, then write N/A for the I-94 number.

CDns do not need consular visa stamping for work visas.
No issues with consulting firm
