Visitor Visa still valid after AOS application?

My mother has a multiple entry visitor visa that is valid for several more years. I am now a US citizen and want to apply for her green card.

Is it true that her current visitor visa is no longer valid when file the I-485? If so, what is the best way for me to plan this application process to ensure that she can enter and exit the US as needed?
 
She will use I 131

Now that you are a citizen and will apply for your mother, she will use I 131 departure permit after she submits I 485. I think it takes as long as 2 yrs depending where you applied from, during this period she can not use B1 B2 coz it is terminated as soon as she applies for AOS.

He made no mention of applying for AoS, sounds like a IR-1.

She may be subject to greater scrutiny regarding her non immigrant intent when using her B2.
